Mr. Forsyth is a frequent lecturer on the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act and local governmental control.
Previous Experience:
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Forsyth worked as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Troy. He represented the City of Troy in zoning and land use disputes, condemnation cases, civil rights claims, personal injury/property damage claims, and other civil cases. He also served as the legal advisor for the City of Troy Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. He also provided legal counsel to the various City Department regarding a wide range of issues. Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Mr. Forsyth was a Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor. At the Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Forsyth prosecuted serious felony offenses — including trying five murder jury trials.
