Mr. Bernier handled all phases of criminal cases, including charging decisions, preliminary examinations, motions, trials, sentencing and the appellate process. He was a member of the Prosecutor’s Drug Unit responsible for the investigation and prosecution of large-scale controlled substance and conspiracy violations, search and arrest warrant review, motions and trials. Mr. Bernier was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Trials Division and was responsible for the circuit court adjudication of approximately 9,000 felony cases handled annually in the Wayne County Circuit Court. Mr. Bernier joined FLCS in 2009.
